What is Field Service Dispatching?
The process where a company sends an engineer, specialist, or technician to fix a problem and/or provide a solution to the customer is known as dispatching. Dispatching is one of the three core processes of any field service management software. The other two features of the software are scheduling and managing service for the field technicians. Customer satisfaction depends on dispatching. Dispatching is critical in order to attain customer satisfaction and thus an imperative for businesses.
This can be done by digitizing all operational variables such as delivery persons, working hours, personnel skill sets, territory affinity, to create the perfect dispatch plan every day. Live dashboard provides real-time tracking of field executives and predictive alerts can be set up to monitor SLAs. A bird’s eye view of the operations can help to visualize plans and make changes in them if need be. A geocoding engine’s job is to convert even the most confusing of addresses into precise coordinates.
Revenue is driven by a number of different factors in retail and FMCG markets — constantly evolving customer expectations, rising market competition, omnichannel trends, location demographics, and the effectiveness of supply chain elements, especially timely and effective distribution of goods to retail outlets from where the end customer buys the products.
